My expectations are high, and the people I have met are not, so I am scared

Love is the greatest force of all and it’s the only force I want in my life. I want to be surrounded by people that care about me just as I care about them, people that are genuine towards me. If a great love comes, yay! A dream come true, but if it doesn’t, (which will suck!), I’ll still do everything I set out to do; I will travel, explore, meet new people and have the next best experience of my life because I will learn to be enough for myself, I will learn to love me.

These days, in the day-to-day hubbub of marriage and raising kids, I will admit I sometimes forget he wasn’t always in my life

It’s scarily easy to take someone for granted. To forget how much it means to have met someone, how much it gave. To forget that without one friend’s act of kindness, and one choice to go along with it, I would have missed out on so much.
